Get everything ready the right way

  • Place wheels and handles toward your house.
  • Keep cart lids closed and do not overfill them.
  • Extra garbage bags must weigh 50 pounds or less.
  • Mark an extra recycling box “EXTRA RECYCLE” and keep it under 50 pounds.
  • Keep bulk items within 3 feet of the curb without stacking them.
  • Contractors must remove debris created by their work.

Bulk items are normally collected on your regular day. Cape Coral residents can also use the bulk drop-off site at 1200 Kismet Parkway, Tuesday–Saturday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m. Enter from NW 14th Avenue and bring proof of residency.

What day is trash pickup in Cape Coral?

Collection runs Monday through Friday. Use the City of Cape Coral address lookup to confirm your exact day. Garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulk waste are collected on the same weekday.

When should carts be placed at the curb?

Place carts after 5 p.m. the evening before collection. Pickup begins at 5 a.m. from May 1 through September 30 and at 6 a.m. from October 1 through April 30.

What happens during a holiday week?

On the city's six observed no-service holidays, collection is delayed one day for the remainder of that week.

How do I report a missed pickup?

Wait until after 6 p.m. on your scheduled day, then contact Waste Pro or Cape Coral 311.
